What this website collects — and what it does not.

For the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, NearMeDeals Services Private Limited is the Data Fiduciary in respect of the information described below. The contact above is the person able to answer questions about how we process it.

What we collect

Only what you type into one of two forms on this site:

• The contact form (/contact) — your name, a phone number or email, your area or pincode, a role selection, and optionally a business name and a free-text message.
• The homepage “Notify me first” field — just your area or pincode.

Please do not include sensitive personal, health or financial information in the free-text message field — we do not need it and would rather not hold it. We do not ask for or collect payment details, government ID, or precise location, and we collect nothing beyond what is visibly in those two forms.

What our hosting provider records

We do not run analytics, advertising pixels or trackers of any kind. But like every website, ours sits on a hosting platform, and that platform records standard server logs — including the IP address a request came from, the page requested, and a timestamp — for security, abuse prevention and reliability. We do not use those logs to build a profile of you or to identify you, and they are retained by the platform for 0 days — in other words, not retained beyond the immediate request.

What it’s used for, and on what basis

Solely to respond to the enquiry you submitted — registering interest in the pilot, following up on a business enquiry, or answering a question. We process it on the basis of the consent you give when you submit the form. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone. Server logs are processed for the security and integrity of the service.

Where it goes

A submission is forwarded to a private Google Sheet that only we have access to — not a backend server of our own. If that isn’t reachable, the form tells you so and offers a direct email address instead, rather than silently failing.

Google acts as our data processor for this one function, under Google’s own terms for these services, not a bespoke agreement negotiated with us. If we move to a dedicated backend of our own later, this page will be updated to say so. Because Google’s infrastructure operates globally, this may involve processing your information outside India; we do so in accordance with applicable Indian law and only to countries not restricted by the Central Government.

How long we keep it

We keep a submission only as long as it is needed for the conversation it started, and in any event no longer than 24 months from our last substantive communication with you, unless a longer period is required by law. After that we delete it.

How we protect it

We maintain reasonable security safeguards appropriate to the limited information we hold — including transport encryption, access control on the destination inbox or CRM, and the deliberate design choice not to store submissions on this website at all. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise. If a personal data breach affects information you gave us, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board of India as required by law.

Your rights

You can, at any time:

• Ask what we hold about you, and how it has been processed.
• Ask us to correct or complete it if it is wrong.
• Ask us to delete it.
• Withdraw your consent. Withdrawing is as easy as giving it — one email is enough. Withdrawal does not undo processing that already happened lawfully.
• Nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity.

Email support@nearmedeals.in and a real person handles it, not an automated flow. We aim to acknowledge within 48 hours and resolve within 30 days.

If you’re not satisfied

Contact our Grievance Officer, Somesan S, at support@nearmedeals.in in the first instance. If we have not resolved your complaint to your satisfaction, you have the right to complain to the Data Protection Board of India, in the manner prescribed under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the rules made under it.

Children

This website is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and we do not track or serve targeted advertising to children. If you believe a child has submitted information through one of our forms, email us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect or what we do with it, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be flagged clearly rather than slipped in.

Languages

This notice is available in English. If you would like it in another language listed in the Eighth Schedule to the Constitution, email us and we will provide it.
